ABOUT OUR COLLEGE

Yairipok Universal College provides an enriched learning environment that has helped countless students get ahead. Founded in 1990 under the visionary leadership of our founding Chairman Professor (Dr.) Nimaichand Luwang a well known philanthropist, community medicine educator and public leader who constantly strives to build a meritorious and value based society.  Our College is located in Yairipok Wangkhem Huidrom and serves the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the area. The college has provided quality education to more than 20000 students from underprivileged family backgrounds with limited means including students from minority communities, tribals and schedule caste. The college is a green zone campus and is powered with 100% solar energy. The lush green campus consist of 80% open area and is well endowed with harvested rain water which are used to water the lush green flora and fauna inside the campus. We’re extremely proud of our students and staff, who are always eager to learn, create and contribute towards nation building. 71ST VANAMAHOTSAVA 2020 FUNCTION HELD AT YAIRIPOK UNIVERSAL COLLEGE IN COLLABORATION WITH DISTRICT FOREST OFFICE, THOUBAL RANGE

July 7, 2020

71st Vanamahotsava was held at Yairipok Universal College in collaboration with the District Forest Office, Thoubal Range. Around 350 trees of different varieties were planted in the campus and a workshop was also organised to senitise the students and local community on the need to protect the environment. Dr. Nimai chand Luwang, Chairman Yairipok Universal College stressed on the need to ensure the trees planted are cared for to ensure they survive and grow into full blown trees.

COVID-19 AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

15 March 2020

The students and staff of the college organised a Covid-19 Awareness Campaign at Yairipok Bazaar. Facemask made by the students of the College were distributed to all street vendors, policemen and visitors. The need to wash one's hand frequently and the need to wear a mask to protect self and others were communicated to all.
